Hi here is iqBuilding.eu in a series of short and specific episodes about healthy air. Healthy Air#1 The best humidifier.
The cheapest and healthiest humidifier?
This humidifier It’s just warm clothes and lowering the temperature. Sounds trivial, but the genius is in the simplicity.
Undisputedly, too dry air could damage the mucous membranes in the respiratory tract which lowers immunity. Lower the temperature to 19-21C(66-70F) and dress winter clothes then you will increase humidity, lowering your bills and increasing your vitality. But what does temperature has common humidity! Everything, because relative humidity is related to temperature.
For example, lowering the temperature from 25(77F) degrees to a healthy 20C(68F) can raise the humidity by about 10%!
Of course sometimes you will need a humidifier to have the proper humidity in the 40-50% range, but it will be much better than an overheated room.
But I like when is warm….
Humans tend to be lazy and comfortable, which in excess has bad impact on mental health. As we like sweet and fat food we also like heat. But too much sweet and fat food in is harmful and even deadly. We often overheat rooms to 25-26C (77-78F) because we have widespread and cheap access to heating just like we do to sweet and fat.
Often in winter we can sit in summer clothes in addition with limited ventilation. In such rooms you can hang axe in the air… But then we simultaneously complain of a troublesome runny nose, cough, etc. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
I have a small baby at home and already in the 2nd week of my daughter’s life doctors and midwives recommended keeping the temperature in the range of 19-21C(66-70F). Friends who have lowered the temperature in the house feel a significant improvement in their mood and immunity.
So in winter, put on warm clothes, lower the temperature, get more fresh air and live healthier.
More resources on humidifying the air in the description and comments.
I recommend a video with a dryer experiment on how humidity changes with temperature change.
Take care
